About John Laws Park
John Laws Park is a popular waterside park with breathtaking views across the water to Surfers Paradise. On weekends this postcard-worthy park is dotted with locals and tourists, sitting on the grass, soaking up the sun and admiring the glorious views. It's an idyllic setting for weddings.
The park runs up Burleigh Hill, stretching from the Burleigh Pavillion at the lower end of the park, up to the entry to the spectacular Burleigh Head National Park at the higher end. The park has a viewing platform with a telescope.
Several great walks converge at John Laws Park. You can walk through the picturesque national park, through the rainforest down to Tallebudgera Creek, or you can amble down the hill and along the shoreline of Burleigh Beach, which stretches a few kilometres and in good weather is simply divine.
The park itself has a playground, picnic tables, public toilets, outdoor showers, and water fountains. The playground features colourful swings, spinner, slides, and climbing apparatus.
Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted in John Laws Park, with the exception of the shared pathway.
