About Burleigh Head National Park
Spectacular views await you at this 27.6 hectare slice of coastal heaven. A glorious paved walk through the park takes you from Burleigh Heads beach down to the shores of Tallebudgera Creek and back.
Being a national park, dogs are not permitted.
An unforgettable walk at Burleigh Head National Park
The beautiful ocean-side walk at Burleigh Head National Park traverses through gorgeous rainforest and pandanus groves beside rocky shores. When you reach Tallebudgera Creek, you can linger on the beautiful Tallebudgera shores if you wish, before retracing your route back up the mostly-gentle hill to the park entrance.
The walk down to Tallebudgera Creek and back is about 15-20 minutes in each direction.
The Tallebudgera Creek waters can be near irresistible, but it is best to avoid the water if the tide is going out due to the genuine risk of being swept out in the strong current.
Stunning water views
The coastal scenery at Burleigh Head National Park is breathtaking in any season but during winter and spring you may be fortunate enough to spot humpback whales in the oceans.
