About Waterside Park

Waterside Park at Hinze Dam offers a tranquil setting with beautiful views across the water as well as pleasant picnic facilities.  The View Cafe is conveniently located above the park and has outdoor tables with sensational views.

At the centre of the park is a large, flat, circular field with a flat pathway around its perimeter - perfect for a short stroll.  Short diversions from the pathway lead you to lookouts, one of which has a park bench where you can rest and soak up the serenity.

For the more energetic, take a longer walk or bike ride along the scenic top of Hinze Dam. There are picturesque views the whole way as the wide path traverses the edge of the dam for approximately 2 kilometres and then connects with a mountain bike path that heads off into the forest.

Waterside Park has two sheltered picnic tables but there are no barbecue facilities.

Although the park itself does not have toilets, there are public toilets available in the adjacent complex that houses the View Cafe.

How to Find Waterside Park

Waterside Park is located within the Hinze Dam site at on Advancetown Road in Advancetown at the Gold Coast.  When you drive into the Hinze Dam site, head up the steep hill where you will find a car park and building where the View Cafe is located. Keep driving a very short distance and as you pass the building on the left you will notice a road that travels downhill to the left.  Take that short road to reach the car park at Waterside Park.
