About Syd Duncan Park
This beautiful park in the Gold Coast Hinterland provides glorious views across the Scenic Rim and Gold Coast. Whether you visit at sunrise or sunset, or during the day, or even at night with a telescope, you won't be disappointed.
This peaceful park is sometimes chosen for special occasions such as weddings and family gatherings, as well as being a preferred location for Gold Coast astronomy groups to meet to explore the night sky.
The park's charm is not confined to the amazing views though. The local community has built a natural play space with wooden features arranged around a dry creek bed as well as some underground tunnels for the kids to climb through. Notably, the park even has a designated helicopter landing spot, adding to its unique charm and tranquil rural atmosphere.
Syd Duncan Park also features a simple playground, a basketball court, a netball ring, a small skate ramp, three picnic tables and accessible public toilets. Two of the picnic tables are sheltered. There are no barbecue facilities.
While dogs are allowed in areas outside the playground, they must be kept on a leash.
