About Rotary Park

Rotary Park sits fittingly within the glorious Cascade Gardens, being a tribute to the role of the Rotary Club in developing this beautiful coastal oasis, as noted on the park's sign:

In December 1960, this drive-in picnic park, now known as Cascade Gardens, was presented to Mayer Alderman Harley by the Rotary Club of Surfers Paradise. The Rotary Club spent three years transforming the Department of Main Roads reserve from a mangrove swamp into a scenic parkland.

The park includes a collection of sheltered picnic tables and barbeques, with additional facilities elsewhere within Cascade Gardens.
