About Roughton Park

This spacious beachfront park in Coolangatta is an ideal base for your day at Kirra Beach, and sits on a 9km stretch of Oceanway - perfect for walking and cycling.

Apart from the glorious coastal scenery, Roughton Park provides:

  • Public toilets, including one for people with disabilities
  • Showers
  • Water stations

If you are looking for exercise, a lengthy walking and cycling track runs straight through the park. From Roughton Park, you can walk or ride north to Currumbin Beach (6.5km) or south to Snapper Rocks (2.8km) along the Oceanway. There are also several fitness stations available.

The playground is partially shaded, with climbing equipment, slides and swings and more.

Although some shade is available in Roughton Park, most of the facilities have limited shade so you may want to come prepared.

Dogs on a leash are welcome at Roughton Park, although they are not permitted in the playground area.

How to Find Roughton Park

Roughton Park is located on Musgrave Street near Marine Parade in Coolongatta at the Gold Coast, right behind Kirra Beach. Some parking is available on Marine Parade. For more information and directions, please click on the map below.
