The peacocks, ducks, geese and other birds at Macintosh Island Park are easily encountered as they saunter around the park or perch on branches in the northern end of the park near the enclosed bird sanctuary.

The glorious peacocks never disappoint, but springtime is particularly special since they are most likely to fan their tail feathers at that time of year.

Settle in at a sheltered table overlooking the Nerang River canal on one side and the lush gardens on the other, or find a table under a tree.  The park has good amenities including:

A wide loop path will take you on a pleasant journey through picturesque scenery, past the peacocks and bird sanctuary and under the shade of the leafy trees.  The path is wide and mostly flat, so is well suited to cycling and strolling, with plenty of room for everyone.

How to find Macintosh Island Park
