About Picnic Parkland at Hinze Dam

The opening hours of the Hinze Dam Day Use Area are as follows:

  • 5:30am to 6:30pm (September – April)
  • 6:00am to 5:30pm (May – August)

Picnic Parkland has nine picnic tables, four of which are sheltered. There are also four barbecues, water on tap and public restrooms, including one for people with disabilities.

One of Picnic Parkland's highlights is a spacious shaded playground with exciting features such as rock climbing walls, tunnels, a rope swing, slide and  a bridge.

Dogs are permitted on a leash, but not in the playground areas.
