About Bischof Pioneer Park

This charming park is much more than just a perfect picnic setting.  It also nurtures a slice of local history.

The park houses a riverboat built in 1884, the Maid of Sker.  Before its retirement in 1930, the Maid of Sker used to carry freight back and forth to Brisbane. Now this heritage-listed vessel adds character to this lovely park.

The Maid of Sker is not the only historical monument within the park, with  Preece House - a heritage-listed building - also located within Bischof Pioneer Park.

Beyond the history, Bischof Pioneer Park is a fabulous park in its own right. It's features include sheltered picnic areas, barbeques, a playground and public toilets.
